I often hear people say the only way to build a business online is through attraction marketing. Well this is true but they also state that they do not use the old ways of marketing,one of which is the three foot rule. Basically it implies that everyone close to you (within three feet if taken literally) is a prospect and you should get their attention and market the business opportunity to them.

But the old ways of marketing were implemented for building a business offline,where you come into contact with people face to face,so of course they cannot use the old ways online or so they lead you to believe. Here is a list of ways that are used for offline marketing,then let us see how they translate to online marketing.

Leafleting.

Email marketing.

Posters on the street signs.

Banner advertising.

Placing adverts in shop windows,
news papers or magazines..

Pay Per Click,AdWords or buying
Add space.

Hotel meetings for training/coaching

Webinars,video conference,
telephone conference all used
in the comfort of your home/
office,yet there are some
marketing events held for
top entrepreneurs and
you know what's coming,
yes they're held in top hotels.

The three foot rule.

This is a good one.
Here's why:-
How far do we sit from our
monitor?
three foot?
the point is people search,
information is every where
but with
one click ,different website,
blog or video.
So if you have a business online
do you think
the three foot between
the monitor and the people
who are searching matters.

I would say it matters more online than offline.
