Today,I have just come back from the IbisHotel in Earls Court London where the T.I.M.E event took place with all the numerous internet marketer speakers or shall I call them con artists? Of all the bullshitters that were there to sell people stuff that they don't really need, it was the heartless way in which Robert Allen sold that really scared me.
First he started off by reserving empty front seats for a supposedly 11 people who he plans to fly down to stay with him at his Californian mansion sometime next year for an unspecified(he carefully avoided promising for how long) number of days so that they can get a one-on-one business coaching time with him. He claimed that it will be a free all expense paid trip for a few lucky people only. He then asked those interested to confidently march up and take a seat in the two front rows that definitely sat way more than 20 people. After which he had them led into a small room(to close the deal i guess). I didn't fall for any of his gimmicks but all the same I was curious so I looked for those that went into the room and asked them of what happened behind closed doors.
Apparently, once they were in that room. He cut straight to the chase and asked them to all cough out £12,000 immediately because he was only interested in 11 people. Not wanting to be left behind, a lot of silly people started begging him to pick them whilst practically shoving their hard earned £12K into his hands. Apparently one woman said she couldn't afford it and asked if he would take instalments but he refused and said, except you take out a loan or something, I am not interested because I only want serious people(By this he meant offers of course) . Immediately, he started putting calls through to the credit card companies as people made immediate transfers to him. No room for anyone changing their minds then.
What sort of people are this that just fall for any trick in the book? Imagine waking up tomorrow morning, £12K poorer and not being able to trace Robert Allen? Worse still you google his name and see all the horrible reviews of how he has previously & shamelessly scammed people without a seconds thought,then realize you've just been had too. Or even worse, if you do get his so-called insider secret materials, you realize that its all hot air and you could've gotten it for free on the internet? That £12K he tricked people into giving him is perhaps someone's life savings or all they had or didn't even have, but does he care?
I don't know what bothers me the most, that morally questionable people like Robert Allen are allowed to roam the streets freely robbing people in broad daylight and calling it motivational speaking? or Are people really that stupid to believe anything and just anyone- A fake and so-called millionaire -just because he stands and speaks confidently even though he's wearing a really cheap suit,no-named designer wristwatch and really cheap fake leather shoes?
This is a man who claims he became a master persuader after reading the book-INFLUENCE- so my point is how can people still fall for his mind tricks knowing this? I am still in total shock at the naivety of some people. And even worse, we always thought this sort of things were only bought by the yanks so where has the sensibility of the Brits gone?:

how is he getting away with it? especially if hes still doing it under the same name!?
I hope he does it to the wrong person one day.
